In the 'host' column you need to put the address of your server (ftp address). usually something like ftp.domainname.com.

if ur site name is 123.com then ur ftp host will be as : ftp.123.com and ur user name , passwrod will be same as u use to login into ur cp. In port enter 21 > connect

Go to ur root dir > then where ur blog is installed,

public_html > ur blog dir > wp-content > plugins > upload ur plugin in this dir.

Then goto wp dashboard > plugins > activate the plugin.

You will not be able to use plugins on a wordpress hosted blog. Eg when your url is *.wordpress.com then it is surely hosted by wordpress and wordpress does not allow custom plugins , even though they have some inbuilt plugins for blogs hosted on them like sitemap etc

it is easy to upload the plugins

    steps:

1)upload the whole folder of your theme/plugin to your desired directory

2)then login in wordpress and go to plugins there you will see the plugin which you uploaded just activate it and you are done

karyan...if you are really serious about your site you need to go to for your own site and host it where you can get a wordpress blog for free. There are plenty of free hosting provider in internet and you can get a free domain too....
just go to co.cc, there you will be able to get two free domains forever.
Then you will be able to get the plugins you need not the one that comes with wordpress.com

You absolutely must have your own hosting if you intend to be serious about this business

Just look at some other WP sites like mine and you'll see for yourself the need for your own hosting as well as how easy it is to install plugins. Holla back if you need more info...

You're indeed. It's a little steep learning process.

After you registered usually they will give you the cpanel / plesk access.
Then - you might ask how to use cpanel / plesk?

The best thing is you approach someone in your town that can physically teach you how to setup a website. :D
