I am looking for a good web host that I can pay monthly (and not have to down pay for a year or something like that) with no setup fee. Not hostgator either. Any ideas?
HostGator are actually better than most for shared hosting. Why do you not want to use them? BlueHost charge additional amounts for addon domains ( over your initial quota ) last time I looked. - Dean
freehostia (would make this a link but i cant do that yet) offers month to month. you can also prepay but you dont have to (im paid till 2013) I use their value plan, which is $1.95/mo with no banners, smtp use and hotlinking the best imo
I bought bluehost as recommended by other members here. you can also buy that. it costs $7.99 per month if you are going to pay monthly. if you wish to pay in bulk like for three years then it will cost $6.99. Also they gurantees that they will refund the money if you wish to cancel the account after some time like after 3/6 months or so.
Opticburst.net offers awesome Cloud Web Hosting starting at $9.95 a month. Might as well take advantage of the 50% off Holiday special and lock-in on the half-off for the lifetime of your hosting account.
There are many hosts providing Monthly Hosting I know two of them providing solid hosting Hostgator - $9.95 per month Godaddy.com $6.99 per month for Deluxe Hosting Cheap Hosts provide you with monthly payment options and some of them are quite good as I have heard. Indianets.com $1 per month for shared hosting my friend uses them TMZ hosting $1 per month IWHIC.com $1 per month There are countless If you can elaborate how much Bandwidth and space you want then you can easily know what host you should go with.
I would never pay annually, or even twice a year. It's better to pay month by month to keep your host honest as all sorts of unpredictable things might happen.
Search right here in dp forum where you can get good value for your money to get hosting services and some of the web hosts provide excellent service at cheap rate.
Haha $30 setup fee, thats absolutely ridiculous. Everything is usually instant/automated, there's no such thing as 'setup time'. I guess thats the outcome for oversellers. There are plenty of good quality hosts out there that will take a monthly payment, without anything else.
Have a look at lacehost.com, i've been with them for nearly 6 months and not had any problems. Plus the owner is reputed member here.
I would recommend you looking at reviews first because I have seen pretty much a lot of bad reviews on such cheap companies like Hostgator, etc. They highly oversell so don't expect your website to be fast as well.
Bluehost have my vote. You can host unlimited domains and get $50 google ad credit if i'm not mistaken.
