freeware will provide you the solution through which you can actually send mails to the people... but i personally wont suggest you to use some FREE TRAIL's.... better search for the script... install it on your system and then start the email marketing campaign... and that would also provide the space to the data protection...

how do you prevent your emails from being received as spam? Sending out emails that appear as spam will get people to complain and will even lead to termination of your email account. Any ideas, people? :D

I use phplist which is free and runs on my server. But more reliable I use www.emailbrain.com but can be expensive.

While we are on the topic I am new to this site. Where would I post a list I just compiled of 450,000 .edu students emails? Please point me in the right direction. Also for those who offered more options for newsletters and email campaigns thank you I am always looking for good services and saving money.

    4 ways:
    1. Send only to opt-in subscribers
    2. Authentication (SIDF or DKIM)
    3. Build your sender reputation
    4. Accreditation (if you have to)

going with a major ESP (e.g silverpop, clickpath) will get you #2

We use Campaign Enterprise, but that may be more than you need. Good package, though.

So how does email marketing work? Is it considered spam or does it go through like regular email?
