Hey, It is really annoying, I have been using computers for about 10 years now and I wish I could type faster, I seem to have developed my own style for typing and although it is fine when I need to type a lot it is far from fine. Is touhtyping the way to go or are there other methods because when I tried touchtyping it felt so un-natural I gave up. Any suggestions for becoming a whizz on a keyboard?
Try typeracer.com . Basically your little car is racing against others, you're in fact typing the same paragraph against others, the faster you type, the further your car goes. It's pretty fun and can get adictive too! I discovered this website with some research. Currently, I'm searching all the internet, compiling all the best websites putting them in a list, each by it's own category, It's taking time my friend!! If you need any other usefull website for any topic tell me and I'll find it if I'm in the mood Also how do you like typeracer?
It is really cool dude. I raced for almost 10 times, sharpening my typing skills and it is addictive too. Thanks for the share
Definately try Typing tutor. There are so many free programs online that can help you type faster. Good luck sweetie.
I took a computer class at school. The first year in this class, all we did were learn to type with 10 figures.
OMG! You using Computer for last 10 years and still unable to type fast Get any new version of Typing Tutor i hope it works for you! actually for typing fast and your fingers placement in a right direction is required
I remember playing an interactive game that teaches you to type and at the same time improve on your typing skill. Can't remember the name but I think you can easily google around and find one.
What are your typing speeds? I sometimes look at the keys while typing and my speed is around 55 WPM.
90-120 WPM. It depends whether what I am typing has long words, and obscure letters in the sentence. Also, it depends on your accuracy as well.
Generally I think my typing speed is around 40 words a minute so am not sure where that is roughly compared to the average typer. Thanks for the suggestions guys!
I got this habit, I only use my index finger and middle finger to type and the other hands are pretty useless. I am thinking of getting a program and "re-learn" or "re-adapt" to the whole actual typing skills.
