From December 2003 until February 2009, I worked, first as an Emergency Patients Allocation Service Co-ordinator, then as an Advanced Emergency Medical Dispatcher at the East Midlands Ambulance Service; was a UNISON Union Learning Rep, Shop Steward, Health & Safety Rep & Green Rep - but started a new job on Monday 18th October 2010. I met my lovely Karen on a Return to Learn Course, through UNISON in October 2007, we started dating and now (because we are both divorced) are married. We honeymooned in Suffolk. We had a wonderful 5 day break in the Cairngorms in early December, went to Portsmouth for two days and the Isle of Wight the following weekend for a Royal Naval Association reunion and then a week in Lowestoft (convalescent for me) in July. I have never been so happy since meeting Karen - she has completely changed my life for ever - thank God! I've bought a Highland Dress outfit & I married Karen in it (don't let my name fool you - my mother's family - God rest their souls - were Scottish, so my clan is Anderson). I hired one for St Andrews Day celebrations and a friend's son's Christening to try it out and I felt fantastic! I returned to The Open University to complete my Degree on October 6th 2010, after 29 gap years! Hopefully, within three years, I will graduate with B.A. (Hons) in History. I think I've prattled on long enough - I can hear yawns...wake up at the back!!!!! An update - I ABSOLUTELY love my new vocation as Copywriter for the best Internet Web Site Designers - www.getyouonline.co.uk - this was made for me - it's "right up my street" as a self-confessed pedant LOL! A FURTHER UPDATE - However, I've decided that fifty-two years of employment is enough, so am retiring on April 20th 2012 in order to do the things I'm unable to do fully, as I'm in full-time employment, and have more time to spend with my wife, Karen, who is the reason I'm so happy with life!

    Signature

    With every good wish, :)
    Glyn
