Alot of things that are seen in modern day society as being bad points about islam tend to not be islam related at all. Many of the points are actually to do with the cultures of some of those people who follow islam, for example the honor killings tend to be from cultures like that of the egyptians. Also the so called "islamic terrorist groups" tend to not even be islamic sometimes, but just political, for example there was a section of al qaeda discovered which was hindu in Pakistan about a year ago. Also with the point that some people think that most or all of muslims are terrorists, think about it this way... According to research about 1/4 of the worlds population is muslim, so if they were all terrorists would we not all already be dead? Also these terrorists tend to be very un-islamic most of the time, as an example of this look at the suicide bombers: -In Islam it is forbidden to kill yourself as well as other innocent people, and even when in a war you are only allowed to fight with those who are guilty as well as you are not allowed to harm children, woman or even peoples pets in a war and even when you fight those who have wronged you you are not allowed to unless you have gave them a chance to apologise. -Now look at these suicide bombers.... They break all of these rules and also the point in Islam about going to paradise as a martyr if you die on the right side of a war does not apply to those who become one by killing themselves just so that they could become one, and it actually says somewhere (I forget, but it's either in the quaran or said by a prophet) that on the day of judgement there will be people who will say that they died as a martyr for islam and that they will be some of the first to be sent into hell! Also the media has a large part to play in the villainising of islam, as people always have to have a villain. When it wasn't muslims being accused of being terrorists it was russains and communists... When it wasn't them it was.... well the list goes on. Also the person that said why don't muslims do something to stop these fake muslims giving them a bad name.... What would you suggest, lol, a holy war against them would really help the image... Oh and about those supposedly incriminating photos... have you stopped to think "who took those photos" , "was that person biased" , "why did the person take that photo" "was the photographer from the media trying to make some money with a story and so did they care about reliability" or even the simple "are the photos staged" question?
The photos hands freshly chopped off were staged? Photos of people getting hung were staged? Photos of women with acid thrown in their face were staged? Photos of other body parts freshly removed from folks were staged? That'd be a helluvalotta staging going on out there if you're right. I dont think the bias of the person taking the photos of such things really has any bearing on it if the actions in question happened. In many cases the actions are admitted to by the Islamic group in question... for example the Iranians, the Taliban during their tour as leaders of Afghanistan, etc.

Muslim's aren't as bad as some non-Muslims make them out to be. They aren't as good as most Muslims make them out to be either. Almost every opinion here about Muslims is biased one way or the other. Each religion has it's flaws. Islam has it's own. Muslim's try to deny their religion's flaws as would any religious guy in their place. Which Muslim person wants to name the flaws of their religion without muddling the issue? Probably very few.
As soon as people stop labeling themselves one thing or another and start acting human these silly little problems would disappear and we could all work together solving issues such as cancer aids starvation. As long as man labels himself as a mere ingredient then we will live in hostility forever....
Ok so this is going to sound/read horrible, but here is 99% of a suicide bombers life. Little Ahmed is palestinian, he and his family have lived in the same neighborhood for more than his grandparents can remember, little ahmed is 7 years old, one day after school he goes home and inside is the israeli army, they are taking over his beloved neighborhood. His father and mother are upset, they have no where to go, his mother is holding his little sister Nusayba who is 6 months old, his mother is crying and screaming please not my house where am i going to live? Then mr army shoots his mother and his sister killing them instantly. His father goes loses it after just witnessing his wife and daughter killed, puts up a little fight and gets shot. Little ahmed runs out of the house just in time, running down the street with tears in his eyes he has absolutely no one(family) he goes to a palestinian neighborhood that is not being taken over yet and lives with his friends because people over there are nice enough to take in people who they don't know or do know in this kind of situation, as little ahmed grows up he is filled with bottled anger and rage towards all of mankind, he has nightmares, he thinks he can never be normal again, and then one day he meets a recruiter tells him all the things he needs to hear, love, promises of a better tomorrow and he like many of others falls right in. Sad but true and that is how a suicide bomber is born. Edit: it is like a very bad gang. Who knows what the recruiter has gone through in his life, but the leader of this horrible gang that preys on weak unstable human beings should be put to death. suicide is against the religion but these people are so far gone to realize that

Ok, This is going to sound a bit more reasonable, here is 99% of reasons of suicide bombers: On most Muslims countries peoples are poor, they don't have democratical governments and still living like 300 years ago rules by rulers. When there is a democratical government, most of the things are equal. As it is now, running by rulers, all of the money going to the "big guys" and rulers while the little and normal citizens get's nothing and living in a poor mood for ages. (e.x Egypt now waken up and citizens started to shout and wish to have democratical government) Regard Palestine as you mention earlier, Same story there, The Hamas get a lot of money from Iran/Syria but that's probably not enough, they control Gaza now and they fight the Fatah (P.L.O) and don't care killing their own civilians while fighting. Hamas VS Fatah Armed Hamas Forces Raid Fatah Weddings in Gaza (I wonder jodyq, Is that mean that little Achmed of Fatah family will suicide bomb Hamas peoples?). Anyhow, Back to topic - When the Israeli government supply Gaza daily motortrucks full of Food, and Medical's who get it?.. Yup you guessed right, The Hamas take over and steal it all so they can "Control" it, That's why the Israeli delegation of the UN all ways want to stop it or change the way it happen so the "poor" citizens can get the real thing and stop living in a sad world. If you didn't knew about it, I hope you learned a bit. Poverty is the common reason for new Suicide Bombers as we've Seen them doing it on almost every where in the planet (Spain, UK, Israel, USA, India and so on). I feel sorry for Islam since all those Terrorists using their name for killing innocents. I feel sorry for Islamic countries that still "ruled" by rulers and the little citizens remain poor while all goes to their "kings". But, I feel better when I visited places like Jordan and Morocco, they live as peoples should live (in the 2000's and not in the 1720). Their Women can dress like normal women, can go to parties, dance, have fun and they are equal as every other men (at least in Morocco).
I know where you are coming from with some of your point but this bit needs a bit more revision... First off arabs and these "muslim countries" you refer to only make up 18% of muslims... most are actually from places like Russia, parts of America and other assorted places... Secondly, the bit about "When there is a democratic government, most of the things are equal.", unfortunately that is not completely true either... In our democratic countries some are more equal than others, eg, affirmative action... Also the rich are more equal because they can afford a better education, because you have to pay to get into university, meaning that only the rich can afford it most of the time, and a good education is vital to doing well in life for most.
I'm sure the Arabs are devistated you feel this way. Btw, what do you do for a living? I'm sure not eating them, is showing more love to them than eating them.
