Confused about the better way to design a website

    Hey there!
My plan is to start an online business. Well, not exactly a business, more like a website for my real estate agency that can also be a business tool. But that's not the main thing.
My major confusion is about what variant is better for producing a website. I've heard of template monster (quite fair prices), but what I have also heard of them is that their products are not always perfect when it comes to something more than just a design. My alternate option is to hire a designer and a programmer? I've even found a programmer (by the way he was the one to tell me that monster templates are only good as designs).

Anyways, people, what's better in terms of investment/quality? I'd appreciate any kinds of opinions and suggestions.
    Thanks.

There's a special section on digitalpoint.com where you may ask for design - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=24.

Alternatively you may go with web template, which is also good. My recommendation is - http://templatemonster.com. Btw, they are holding x-mas promo right now so you may save some money. Hurry up ;)

IMHO, not the best time to invest much in real estate business. If you really need this website - go with the cheapest solution.

There are plenty of web applications / content management systems capable of handling Real Estate websites, I doubt you'll need a programmer unless you're going for a full custom made approach

Depending on the features you require I can't imagine it being too difficult of a job to be honest, for a competant web designer that is, I highly doubt you need to hire two people for this.

Using Wordpress and a custom coded theme would make an excellent base for your website. If you want, PM me with what you want out of your website and I can reccommend any solutions I know of

It sounds more like he has an existing real estate business rarther than creating just a website about real estate, in which case the cheapest solution isn't the best when it has to reflect the quality & brand of an already well established offline business
