Thanks for the info. I am surprised that they are nofollow. I'd better get started writing!! @miranon, yes all pages on the internet have a PR 0. Until it goes higher. Write a page, get a 0. Wait a while, it goes up. Knol is no different. Click around a bit and you will find plenty of decently ranked pages. For example, this one which isn't even very popular, has a PR3. Activity for this knol This week: 34pageviews Totals: 653pageviews 2comments That PR7 on the main page has to go somewhere! Good luck.
You can choose ezine rather than the google knol to get a do follow backlink, where the traffic and viral link building is simply superb.
Thanks for sharing, but the page doesn't show at all... However, PR 7 is showing in the toolbar! will try it later on
yes it is amazing, someone like you that has so much insite in seo doesn't know that http://www.knol.google.com is not the same as http://knol.google.com. and for the people that say the link doesn't work, they are smart as you. even if the links are do follow, doesn't mean it's going to do anything with your ranking in google.
How can you be so sure? Any personal experience to share with us? I mean, if it's really do follow it must be worth something. Btw, I checked some of the articles but I can't find any do follow external links
That is exactly what they are already doing. I wrote a knol about a month or so ago, it was DOFollow since I checked. Just checked again right now and it became NOfollow. Lesson: Don't ever trust Google. -------------------------------------- Another page (not mine): http://knol.google.com/k/cole-collins/personal-bankruptcy/37aqx54dj9mr3/3# It is PR3, DOFollow, because it is new. Just check in a month or so. I'm 100% sure it will be NOfollow.
The individual Knol's aren't linked from the PR 7 home page. Looks like a way for Google to get free content without paying.
It is http://knol.google.com/ not http://www.knol.google.com/ Google should know about canonic issues...
