Best Way to Send 30000 e-mails?

I have built an opt-in list of 27K-28K emails.

What is the best (economical) way to send a mail to all of these recipients?

(I just want to send one single mail).

28k is not a real lot to send. You could easily write a script to handle it from your server if your host allows it. Some hosts throttle outbound emails so just double check. Also, do not send out more then one every second or so. Thats what I do. :)

Dada mail is open source and I have heard of people with lists of over half a million use it. Must have a good server though.:)

I am using mlmpowermarketing to send bulk emails. Try them - for 10/month you'd be able to email 2,500 every day.

I have 200k emails to send on my forums, the best way to do it is to wait after each batch is set. Usually I go for 1000 emails with a wait of 30 seconds in between. The only main concern you need to worry about is if any of those emails are no longer valid, you will want a good bounce email system set up so it will remove any bounces from your list so it does not clog up the mail queue and then hang your server.

I didn't find any that I can recommend.

As mine is just a one-time requirement, I think it's better to just pay someone to do the mailing.

My host allows only 300 mails per domain per hour.

At 3000 mails per day, 10 days will be needed to complete the task...:D.

Just use a third party like iContact or ConstantContact. Cheap and your ISP won't get in possible trouble.

They will ask for a re-optin of your list and you will probably lose many of the subscribers you have on your list

You know that as long as you own the addresses involved, you can safely send emails from your home computer with the return address set to your sites email right ?
The records will trace back to your home computer, but as long as there's nothing shady going on it doesn't matter.

You should be able to push out batches of 50-100 every minute, which breaks down to taking roughly 7 hours to go through your list. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to download an emailer from downloads.com and send the message to your whole list in a single day.

I used to send newsletters from my computer with Mailboy 2004

A few years ago it was quite fine (except with AOL users) but in the long run this kind of solutions does have very very poor delivery rates

In my opinion this kind of solutions is over

I just gave the job to a guy who has done data-entry type of work for me in the past.

I gave him the list of emails, an email format and my cpanel password.

He will finish the job in a few days and then I will change the password.

Install PHPmailer on your hosting server... You could install it using fantastico.
Import your emails into the database and start sending emails.

Most of the shared hosting service providers will not allow this kind of bulk mailing. So you will need to search for a shared host or get a dedicated server!
