Kylie, I am speaking from experience. I have 2 kids, a 1 and 2 yr old. My husband is locked up over some stupid choices that he make (minor stuff, however..the consequences are still very real). So, we lost our beautiful home, and I am now living with my mother. See, what I'm saying. Even though my circumstances are different, I appreciate that I have such a loving mother. I appreciate the job I have, and although I my husband is incarcerated, I think he will learn a fine lesson. All in all, I feel really good about the peace I have right now. Its a blessing. So, for you, that old job's door is closed, all that means is that you now have the time and opportunity to do something even better. Thanks. Really and honestly, life is all in how you see things. When I was pregnant, my husbands company had slowed down, and I was unemployed. (not to mention my car broke down) What I did was start working on Ebay. I soon make about $17,000 within 3 weeks. I then bought a 4runner with cash. It was possible because I knew what I wanted to accomplish and did it. There are literally a million ways to make money. You will figure it out. But, you must first know what you have to do, and believe and know that it will happen. See what I'm saying?
Yes, I am getting unemployment benefits but they don't last forever and are nowhere even close to what I was making working BUT it's better than nothing at all.
I'm not going to tell my story here but I do know what you are going through. I lost a great deal of things because what was taken from me. What is needed is a big rethink of what you value most in life. When you finally realise those things are not material things, you can then move on to the necessary things and work on building these things up. I personally learned a huge lesson in this. The first quarter of 2007 was massive for me. Everything was going perfectly fine. Then things started to slow down. I looked into other areas to try and maintain the level of revenue I was used to. That's where I got into trouble. Only a few months ago I thought I was at rock bottom. However, things are starting to turn around for me just a little...there is a small light far away...LOL In conclusion. Don't be desperate in making moves to get yourself back to where you were before. Take a step back and think about how this move will affect others. Your relatives and friends etc.. According to a book I just read (The Soveriegn Individual), the reason that the middle class is hurting is because of the transition from the Industrial Age (auto assembly line jobs etc) to the Information age (more difficult jobs with little security although a high potential)

Actually, you need not wait for people to give you jobs. You can write articles whenever you are free. If you are writing about popular niche topics (finance, health etc), you will find buyers in the BST (Content) Forum. There may be other places on the net where content can be sold, but I am not aware of them. Maybe you can ask other professional writers on DP.
