When I see a screenshot, I'll believe that! OP... just keep at it, btw I like the blend of your red ad unit at the top. Jumped out at me, when I visited; quite surprised that you aren't receiving the clickthroughs you deserve fella.
I know some HTML ... and I've edited a few CSS things ... but - the only code I really haX0r is C++/C# in .NET. The only graphics editing I ever do is resizing in Photoshop and removing my zits. I'm not hopeless, I'm just very new to all of this. I'm willing to learn - but it seems I can't get out of this speed bump. Therefore - I am here. Hoping to be part of a community and gain advice. I'll probably be adding links to my blog roll to all who help out ... not that it really makes a difference since I don't really get traffic at my site. Was the purpose of your question in regards to the layout of my site, that I should do my own thing... and ditch WordPress? My thoughts exactly I thought the red banner at the top matched the layout of my site - but jb =] in post #25 claimed that the red actually discourages people from clicking the ad. Is that not in prime ad-clicking real estate? * * * Also, I was thinking of adding '(468x15) Displays up to 5 links ' Link Unit ad... just above my posts ... and only using ONE in-content block ad. Would that add to the variety of the ad placement? Or is it better to have two blocks of ads within your content ... ? What has been your experience?
I personally know three guys making that amount consistently month after month ,however there is a fall but thats negligible...they have some nice sites which gets around 30k+ UV a day and let me tell you PR has nothing to do with adsense, it matters your niche on the site and original content posted regularly. I had a site which is anime niche and as everyone knows that it is almost dead , i just buyed a DB with 4500+ videos and monetized with adsense with right keywords , submitted to directories and search engines and i was making $.5 - $2 everyday without touching it for 9full months and i got 400+ uniques everyday. So build a blog on nice niche , do seo and post original content atleast three times a week and you will not see that much income but you will make more than what you are earning now , also blend cpa ads [ just free ones for members to signup or zi submit, this will fetch more]. Good luck
Hey azabednego, pls don't be upset friend. Your situation is normal, that you’re not satisfied with the earning. But why do you expect a significant amount within a few months? It’s not possible that everybody will earn hundreds or thousands of dollar. But it’s true that people like you and me are making a lot, believe it. If you’re so upset within a few months, if you give-up your try and fall from the competition, somebody will take your place, and may be will get success. The opportunity lies underneath it. Adsense earning is not that easy as it seems to be. Like any other job you require good knowledge and skills so survive. From your website designing and content to website promotion all are very complex process. If you know the right way, you’ll find it easy. I’m also very new here, and within a month I managed some visitors in a way that I found right. And of course with a little earning. From my 1 month experience I realized, making a living from adsense earning is possible. Good luck.
Thanks buddy. To be honest, i don't have time for my repository site, never done any seo for the subdomain yet ( i don't even add a sitemap to it, which is a shame ). As for the themes listed in my repository sites, some have 250 ads slot for adsense, some have 468x60 and some are 125x125 banners slot ready. I believe 4 blank boxes for advertisements that you are refering to is 125x125 banners slot. Right sidebar theme is good in term of seo ( bot view ) but sometime left sidebar theme is good in term of human view. Ok. Please allow me to explain further. Let's say you have 10 proxy, a1 to a10. You can put a2, a3 ....a10 links into a1 main landing page as "usefull resources" or "our network". In short, you are "re-direct" your visitors among your own network. Off course, you can use htaccess to block traffics from certain countries. Traffic from USA, UK usually convert well. My recommendation will be ads free if your traffic is low ( no offense again please ). Visitors hate MFA ( Made for adsense ) sites. Do some seo work for your site, then start a link building compaign to get better serp. The general rule is that it can take up to six months for changes to occur in the site’s rankings. Remember that waiting is sometimes part of the game, and your site will do fine.
haha tell me about it. I think I'm getting ready to venture into affiliate marketing this weekend ... but kinda scared. I don't want to continue into that discussion because it does not relate to the forum this is posted on. But just generally - I am assuming that LEVEAN.COM is a poor decision to promote products. Is this true? How profitable are those "get rich quick" eBooks? I heard that they're the best - but theres SO many of them.
Some of them are over sensationalized but usually the purpose is to get attention and quick burst of traffic.
Do you think thats a good way for a beginner to start affiliate sales? Or would you focus on something more steady?
NO! don't buy ebooks! such a waste... Trust me, target a certain niche and you'll see results within a week or two...
make your posts longer... say 400 words minimum.... lot of your posts are just around 50 words... focus in few keywords and if you want traffic - target a niche and load it up with lots of content... I have a health related site that cost me $500 from sitepoint and the site was making $2 a day when I bought it - its making over $15 a day now after 4 months... what did I do ? added more content, did a little seo and bang... this site is worth over $6000 - practice makes perfect and never give up. Oh, and dont put all your eggs in one basket Take care Nethead
Well, I didn't mean for ME to personally buy them - I just meant to promote them on AdWords. Is that profitable? Just seems scary to invest a few hundred dollars into google .... to get people to buy 'em. I WAS thinking of starting another website - related to gaming. But I fear thats kinda over saturated ... and not a very specific niche.
Some members here are full of BS and you can't believe a word they type... Others are known for their honesty and openness, and their success is documented by Google itself... Sometimes more than once. Take everything you read with a bag of salt - try everything and stick with what works. - and the only eBooks you should buy are the FREE ebooks from people that have actually had some success.. . .
Just keep up the work and also do some more studying on working with adsense. Your ads WAY off topic and the placement is totally wrong. Like I said. Just keep it up and in a while you'll have a better understanding of how and why some of us make a healthy living through adsense and marketing. I would also change the type of cms you are using. I have never had good luck with those types of sites. There is to much content on the page and ad placement is a lot harder then with a hand built site. Hand built sites I find earn much higher returns then any other. Looking at your site, you have a lot to learn still but that can only come with time and constant testing and research. GOOD LUCK!
Some members are full of it - and others are known for their openness. I can agree with you completely. I'm just naturally a skeptic. About EVERYTHING. But a part of me DOES want extra income. And don't worry - I'm not interested in actualy purchasing eBooks ... generally the free ones that I come across are about ... clickbank =S Thanks for the feedback - and doing so tactfully. What does "change the type of CMS" mean? Would you elaborate? How should I make my ads more on-content?
LOL first ad i see on your site is "AM I GAY - talk about problems, find answers Make an appointment today " hahahha dont think your getting the right ads. also you dont have leet content.... and u need more ads and bigger. Also your index page is for the keyword, "life" so um.... you will give get to the top with that. go long tail keywords...
well see this line"I've tried generating content" so every content generated won't get visitors eye.plan before writting content search and research what peoples are looking for and write content for it,just generating content won't get you visitors.
