It looks like the country has finally imploded http://blogs.thetimes.co.za/hartley/2008/12/05/tutu-remove-mugabe-by-force/ http://www.thetimes.co.za/News/Article.aspx?id=899110 Cholera Rampant Zero Money Whats next?
Sad that a country once hailed as a model for others has degraded into such a situation, corrupted politicians and bureaucrats has a huge role to play in this. Hope that there are sufficient aid for Zimbabwe citizens who do not deserve such sufferings. Hopefully the aid goes to where it should go to and not to the politicians.
I think they do and will do more, but problem is in having the aid reaching the people and not into the pockets of the rulers.....
yeah, that`s exactly what has been happening... money not reaching those who really need it!! the international community has been doing all it can to help Zimbabwe but they`ve not been very successful due to the failure & collapse of Political apparatus there.
Here's your answer. "In November, 2008, the government of Zimbabwe spent $7.3 million donated by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. A representative of the organization declined to speculate on how the money was spent, except that it was not for the intended purpose, and the government has failed to honor requests to return the money." There is a lot to be done in Zimbabwe. Putting a bullet in Mugabe's head would be a good start.
See folks, government is the efficient, competent, well-to-do machine that it's been cracked up to be all along.. which is exactly why we need more of it in America!
Politicians world over seem to be equal in at least one quality.... CORRUPTION !!!!! How the heck does a common man get over this menace?
Quite difficult, Mugabe has established a kingdom there. Hard to remove. Though I hope the Grim Reaper can do his job and fast.....
Zimbabwe's central bank sacked executives at four banks accused of illegal foreign currency trading, state media reported on Saturday, as international criticism of President Robert Mugabe's government increased. British Prime Minister Gordon Brown added his voice to condemnation of Mugabe, saying the world should tell the 84-year-old ruler "enough is enough". He urged coordinated international action to help Zimbabwe overcome food shortages and a cholera epidemic. http://www.reuters.com/article/homepageCrisis/idUSL4540485._CH_.2400 The noose is beginning to choke Mugabe, at long last
i think the end to Mugabe`s brutal regime can come soon, if the International Community manages to take a tough & a united stand on the whole issue!!
At the ripe old age of 84, I guess this will indeed be the easiest way.....I wonder why is he clinging on to power when he is one leg into the coffin.
