Well said, and this is exactly what people who earn alot did. Think Outside of the box, and be unique ;)

Easier said than done, but then again you get nothing for free.

    Good luck! :)

I just checked your site and there seems to be no traffic at all you are doing something wrong the only thing I can say is the site is weird not to interesting stuff like that. Try something else it took me 4 years to find something that made me money some people never do.

Thats where I run into the problem though. The top ad placement (in red) - the ads show *no* URL. How am I suppose to block it if I don't know the address?

And then the ad about "West Palm Beach Sex Crime" ... has the 2nd half of the URL cut off.

I'm certainly NOT going to click on my own ads to get the address.

    Ok!

haha weird and not interesting. Tell me what you really think ;)

When people say play with the themes, change the colors get rid of the boarders set the background to the background of the website, they aren't lying... Looking at your website it has a separate box in BRIGHT red showing the adsense ad. To me reading your blog, theres no way I'm going to click that small ad because it is surrounding by red and I know its an ad. You need to play around with the colors, put the ads in between blogs or sometimes in the blogs themselves. Sounds like your a sell out but thats the way that the people make the big bucks...

    1. You need to niche. Your general blog will do nothing.
    2. You need more traffic. Learn about it because you obviously know nothing about building backlinks and generating traffic "my website is on several directories, I've submitted to most of the popular search engines - its in my signature in my forums that I post on - and I certainly promote it on Facebook & MySpace."

    3. ?????

I was under the impression that particular location is prime ad real estate. Are you saying the "colors" make the ad not blend into my content well?

    What do others think?

My ads are within the blogs. I'm trying to play it safe by staying within google's TOS and not having more than 3. How exactly do place ads "between" the posts? Is there an example you could show me?

And as far as being a sell out - IMO anyone posting in this forum is exactly that, including yourself ;) so spare me your personality analysis.

    1. Would it be better to get a 2nd URL to do that? Before choosing "levean" I thought about being more specific ... but was having a difficult time finding a good .com.

    2. Thank you for telling me I obviously know nothing. As said before, I am new at this. Care to share your traffic techniques?

    FORD FUSION?

You've got to be kidding me =/

How do I target better keywords?

The content you write in the blog usually changes the types of ads displayed. It is certainly content/niche orientated. I also have a multiple niche blogger blog and I know some of the ads are generated by the different posts in different topics.

Great title. :D I believe you are good in marketing.

Nothing personal and no offense taken please. 20 - 30 impression / day will not bring you far. Those who claimed making a few thousand bucks per month from adsense alone is true. Some of them own more than 500 sites. Please allow me show you an example.

Let's say you have 100 proxy sites and each of them earn $1 on daily basis. You will get $3000 per month.

Off course, don't put all your eggs into one basket. Try affiliate programs as well. Hope this help.

It is hard to believe but from my experience I can tell you.
There are people making that kind of money

I was just sending a PM to one of the members here

My site with three words in it do not come up in google for the words in my domain name.
That site is about 3 years old.

This other members sites comes at the top
He said he has 7 years experience in SEO and his site is of the same age as mine.

Now you can see he makes money and not me!

If I can not reank for the key words in my domain name and he can come frist no wonder there is a lot to learn

Thank you for being polite! I took no offense to your post :D

Is that the route you personally took? It seems like updating 100 sites and promoting all of them ... sounds next to impossible. But then again, I'm kinda new at this.

Affiliate programs... ? That seems like a fancy word for selling e-books on Clickbank ... or driving traffic to Adult Friend Finder. I thought about doing the above, but figured blogging was more legitimate. Do you suggest I sell those "get rich overnight" e-books?

Nope. I have around 30+ sites ( unique content blogs, repository sites, forums, tools for webmasters, hosting review sites etc etc ) and i can't manage them all. For blogs, i hire writers to take care of the contents. For forums, i have a few friends moderate the boards for me. For tools for webmasters, i don't have to update the tool on weekly basis and i just focus on link building compaigne.

For proxy, it's possible. Most of proxy's owner re-direct their visitors from site a to b, b to c etc etc. Your business model is the golden key.

No. Please have a look at http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=22. Those programs listed will be a good start. :) For adult industry, you can try the following:

Well, as for as tools for webmasters - I visited your wordpress themes site... and I am actually impressed, it looks very good. But I had one question about them... many have 4 blank boxes for advertisements. Is that the part thats for adsense...? Because I thought you could have no more than 3.

If proxys just redirect sites - then ... would it just be 100 x URL's? Each forwarding to a few sites? I'm not sure I still completely understand..

Your post was actually very helpful, thank you. Do you think an affiliate program would be good for levean.com .... or should a new website be created for that?

I read a couple posts at the above website you linked, as well as the information @ CJ.com... but I'm still not sure what kinda earnings should be expected... especially if I'm only getting 20 - 30 hits / day at my one site.

I don't mind registering another .com and doing reviews ... if it could mean better earnings - but I'm still not sure how to get past my roadblock of 30 hits/day (if I'm lucky)

azabednego: is this something you're really willing to put effort into? Do you know HTML? CSS? PHP? Are you any good at creating graphics?

    Hey man,

I don't often reply, but i've been where you are now. Of course, I still don't make hundreds of thousands of doallars but I make pretty decent coin (2-4k per month). I also work full time as well. I started 2 years ago.

    I hope this helps.

When you say $9k+ I guess you're referring to this thread. This guy has 5 sites with a CTR of around 15% on 5,000 visitors a day per website. It takes a lot of hard work to make just one site that popular. The other alternative is to build many mini sites picking up a few clicks a day.
