How soon from registering to transfering a domain name?

    A quick question: Let's say I register a domain name today at GoDaddy, how soon can I sell the name and transfer it to the new owner - considering the new owner also has a GoDaddy account? Thanks in advance for any answers...

    If you transfer to GoDaddy from GoDaddy you can do that immediately after purchase. Transferring outside of GoDaddy requires you to wait 60 days.... so I always just get the client to open a GoDaddy account so avoid this.

    Thanks Forest Parks. That's what I was hoping for. I guess if the buyer doesn't have a GoDaddy account and he/she wants the domain, it's not too much of an issue to open an account for that purpose.

    nah..opening an account with godaddy is a breeze..just managing it takes a little toll
