So, I have a comic book review site, the traffic can sure get up there. I haven't updated it since September, but at it's peak I just about broke 100k on Alexa, it has a pr3. The site was a lot of fun, and I didn't start it to make money, but I know myself; and I would certainly make more time to update it again if it were turning a buck. Adsense made barely anything, it looks to me like one needs to get a popculture site like mine up into the lower 20's in Alexa before you start turning a profit through movie/video game ads. Anyone have any ideas on how to make some money off this market? Anyone maybe want to buy it instead? Thanks
more then likely not enough... If you had a site that had 50k/mo visitors, would you sell it for $33?
You can monitize your site by registering at my site. The way my site is setup you can make money promoting your own site. Strange huh? Getting paid to promote your site instead of paying to promote your site. You do have to pay but will get a return much higher than the cost and get more traffic at the same time.
JMC! In addition to Adsense links you can sell ad space to comic book vendors. Also you can have affiliate links like Amazon.com on your site. If you get that many visitors then you are in perfect situation to pull atleast $3000a month. You would need to spend some money to earn some.
With that type of traffic I would do two things: 1.) Amazon Affiliate Program – Set the site up to have a link to Amazon selling what ever comic is being reviewed. This could be easily done and can rake in quite a bit of money! 2.) Sell ad space on a weekly/monthly basis to Comic Book Vendors. Look for online comic book stores that are advertising heavily online. Send them an email telling them that you have ad space for sale and tell them about your site (content, traffic, demographics, ect..) This form of advertising is great for high traffic, but low conversion sites. It is guaranteed money! Just make sure you don’t go crazy with the advertising, too much of it detracts from the user experience and will slowly eat away at your traffic!
Run our Gateway tool, but first you will need premium content. Ask yourself, what could you create on your site that would make one of your visitors want to spend 1-2 minutes filling out a survey for? Each one of our surveys pay you around $1 each time your visitor completes one. Our Gateway tool is the hottest way to monetize these types of sites because it encourages user interaction / rewards and encourages administrative design of premium content.
I recommend ProjectWonderful.com for monetizing your website. High-traffic comics websites make there lots of $$.
If you are still interested in selling it send me a PM with the url for your website. I used to get comic books and so I know something about the titles and characters.
You can use other networks ads such as adbrite to get extra income. If you looking for more income, you should give pay per install a try. If you looking to sell it,then you should sell it under site section
Not a bad idea. Anyone you recommend? Pay per install, huh? Absolutely not. And didn't you suggest in another thread to "quit webmastering"? Thanks for your help, but no thanks.
I will suggest you to try and find some offers on affiliate marketing networks. You have a comic book review site so there might be some ebooks that you can sell or better idea you can promote toys. You can start from Amazon.com Toys. People who read comic books are usually into computer games, gadgets & toys so you can make good money promoting these products.
