    Dead links, links that go nowhere. They result in what's called a 404 "Not Found" error. Why do you ask, anyway?

    Any link that results in a 404 header being issued should be considered "dead" or "broken".

    broken link is a called a 404 "Not Found" error. as well as checked any website for broken link from below mentioned link :
