    Sitwide links are not the best because its reduces your links quality lets say you have 200 backlinks indexed & if they are sitewides then its like from 5 or 6 sites you get 200 links ,if that 200 in content links you have more weight and google love t
    I never tried that image submission and its always good to have more number pf pages targetting many long tail keywords if it have fresh and unique content
