what are the common SYMPTOMS of site being google sandboxed... how do we define that the site is google sandboxed.... one of my site is quite old and not visible in google.... what say.. kindly suggest
Symptoms: You rank very well for your business name and uncommon/uncompetitive keywords but for competitive keywords no matter how hard you work/try you don't rank. Also allinanchor:keyword shows you rank well but without that filter your nowhere to be seen.
thats seems quite fishy... why my site will rank well for uncompetitive keywords and not for the main / sub keywords, when google is crawling throughout my site and is providing a space to rank well on uncompetitive keywords then they should also allow my site to come on the competitive / sub keywords as well ... depending on the kind of work is done on the website... i am not talking abt a case where the site is not updated properly... m talking abt a site with full on page and off page SEO work...
Why should your new site suddenly rank at the top for a competitive keyword? The sites at the top have been there for years.
i am not talking about getting the site rank well or to come on the comp keywords in couple of days.... what all i want to know is what are SYMPTOMs to check whether the site is google sandboxed or not....
Is your older than 9 months? Do you rank for any competitive search terms? If you answered no to both the questions then you're most probably sandboxed, it's that simple.
We are working on the assumption your site is indexed in google and your just speaking about rankings when you say visible. If your not indexed or listed at all then one of the following may apply. 1/ Not have any decent links to direct the spiders to your site 2/ Have a banned domain 3/ Have on site issues/robots text that is interfering with the spidering process. If you are listed and just not performing then as Matt said.
My answer is No in both the cases.... But how come these two parameters define that my site is sandboxed as the other is performing really well and thats 3 months younger then the sandboxed(i presume its sandboxed) one...
There's no rhyme and reason to it. Google seems to define that some search terms are sandboxed and others not, seemingly to discourage spam sites. There's nothing that you can do other than wait it out. It's also worth asking if you sure your site has enough backlinks with anchor text and on-page optimisation to rank even if it wasn't in the sandbox?
Back links.... thats where i actually lack... as i dont think that the site is sandboxed but out of 100 i have 1.5 percent chances that it is... lets hope its not... and i will definitely post the results (of my sites) when i am actually through to reach the basic level of the link exchange... anyways thanks for the suggestions and inputs...
yeah.. thats why i finally made my mind to work really hard to get the results... else there is just no use apart from wasting money... thanks for the suggestions mate..
