you can submit your website to google sitemap even if you don't have sitemap file.

I just wonder if blogger allow to upload .xml file or .gz file

if yes, you can use free online generate your sitemap then upload to your blogger.

    Then submit the file.

If you can not upload the confirmation script then you will not get access to any stats :( Your going to have to move it to a hosted solution.

i think you cannot add a sitemap file if you site is hosted at blogger, there is no way you can put that file on your blogger account and direct google sitemap on that address like: http://yoursitename.blogspot.com/sitemap.xml unless you can contact blogger and give you the opportunity to have one but i dont think so.

So I'd say sorry. You can't submit sitemap file.

but you can use google sitemap anyway.

I think you should host your blog somewhere now on then you can submit the file ;)

There is a way to add your blogspot blog to Google Sitemaps (sorry I cannot use livelinks as I am a new user so cut and paste this : http://blogs.cyberciti.biz/hm/index.php/2006/04/28/adding-google-sitemap-to-bloggercom-blog-account/.

I have registered a couple and although I have not yet seen all of my pages being indexed, Google seems happy with the basics.

It relies on adding a html tag to your template for verification of ownership and the atom.xml feed for your site as the sitemap.

Yep, it is RSS sindication but then the Google FAQ states this is and acceptable sitemap format (http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=34654&hl=en)

Not sure what the question really means.

When I used my atom.xml as my sitemap, it went from indexing 4 of my pages down to just 1. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I'm getting rid of my sitemap for awhile to see if that helps.
