    Hey,
I am disappoint with Google Adwords. I put my site which is a forum on Google and i have had over 100 clicks according to the report and i have had no one registering onto my site via Google.
Not sure if i am doing someone wrong, my forum is free to join, we dont run any ads so not sure whats wrong.
    Any guidance from anyone?
    Regards
    Kevin

Well, Google Adwords sent 100 people to your front page, right ? Once they got there, none of the 100 decided to register. Not trying to be hateful, but how is that an Adwords problem ?

My guess is your landing page either isn't making a compelling story to register, or the the page just wasn't what they were expecting. Do the keywords you bid on potentially have multiple meanings ?

I agree, its not Google's fault people are not registering on the forum, i am just saying i am disappointed and was checking if i was doing something wrong. This is the first time using Google Adwords.

Maybe people just want to read? It may not be an ideal solution but if you want to 'force' registrations you could always make people register before they can read...

Could it be that they want a bigger forum, more posts and members?

I know it sounds daft, but i myself even sometimes dont bother with a forum that has less posts than another.

I have a forum myself, i dont promote it with adwords but its still quite small, it takes ages for people to get to the point of wanting to register at a small forum, unless its a truely amazing forum.

Is your forum a Christian one? are you promoting it as Gods 4 me?

Maybe visitors are expecting it to cover many religions, i dont know, maybe you are specifying who the forum is for, if not, be as specific for them as possible.

I have to scroll sideways when visiting your forum, i never like that.

Kev, why dont you check your control panel and see what the visitors actually did? Surely you cant have that much traffic to where you wouldnt be able to distinguish who is who coming to your forum.

Give it some time.. Lots of people lurk and finally join. Be glad Google sent you some visitors. If your forum is worth anything, they will keep reading and eventually ask some questions.

Thanks for your input! Yes its the Gods 4 Me forum.

PIPES - not sure why that happened, should auto fir your page, i am the same i hate scrolling side ways i will let my tech know about that.

I am getting a lot of traffic, but the people who are registering is people who has been referred by friends.
Anyway, once again thanks for your time!

Try targeting people who belong to social networking groups such as Christians, Jewish, Catholics.. etc. Then send them a friend request.. Once you build up 50 friends or more.. Pitch them. Guys please join my New .. I love God Forum.

One thing you should keep in mind when people come to a forum - is that they suddenly go on their defense. For a visitor to give a website their information in order to sign up - they have to see some sort of benefit in doing it. Perhaps you can give away a free report on whatever your topic is. Be creative and also make sure that you are using targeted keywords to advertise on.

If you use the keyword "dog training" it won't do diddly squat for a forum on cooking.
