I'm currently promoting a program right now that pays you per lead whether or not the lead results in a sale. I just checked my commissions and CJ took off about $30 without an explanation. The only thing it says is "closed" next to each commissions they took off. Is there any way for me to figure out EXACTLY why this happened? Did their system screw up an accidentally give me credit more than one time for the same person? Or does the manager of that program have the ability to take off commissions when they see fit? I'm really really confused and pissed off right now!
well since i think its very unproductive to answer a question with a question, ill say YES, advertisers can reverse your commissions if you are in violation of their TOS. i'd suggest contacting the affiliate manager for the company you are promoting, they can help you far more than any of us can.
They didn't take off ALL the commissions. Just about 6 of them and left about 4. I'm thinking that maybe there was a problem with CJs system which caused the same person to signup several times over.
Maybe, or maybe the advertiser is reversing leads arbitrarily. In the last two months I have had several sales and leads reversed by three different merchants. Never happened before in all the years I've been with CJ. Maybe coincidence or maybe hard times for merchants and they are looking to save money at publishers' expense.
