Link Firefox approaches 21% usage while IE drops below 70% according to Netcraft. They also show the areas that FF usage has crossed the 50% usage mark.
Let this crap die !! I have to work hours to fix my site to work with IE ...Also heard a news about chrome passing the global 1% share ..
this was pretty obvious . Firefox is way better and has more features . Almost everyone I know has already switched to it.
what? IE has 70% usage? When I check analytics, 97% of my site users use firefox, and we're talking 8k uniques/day I would have thought FF would be like 80%, chrome 10%, IE 5% and the rest make up the extra 5%
Yeah, Keep it up FireFox, We are with you I believe that IE is still on top because, in Asia, mostly Net Cafes are just with default Explorer "Internet Explorer" mostly cafe don't install other softwares, & I believe almost 75% users here use internet at Cafes. So, I think its only reason for Internet Explorer.
Depends if the site you are connecting to relies on ActiveX. IE isn't so bad as a basic browser, but firefox is better. I find Opera to be quicker for surfing though.
When IE was having the monopoly, it did not care for customer requirements for upgradation...and gathered a lot of annoyance....for which it is paying a price..now... When you are a leader...do take good care of your followers....or else...you are axing your own foot
I'm in the Army, something I have noticed with all Government computers is they only have IE. No FF or any other option, and you may not download anything without administrator permission, etc.
Microsoft - among the worlds biggest company for tech computer uses IE as their official and default browser. Almost every user using Mirosoft OS has IE installed.
I have have 70% of my visitors ff on my sites. This is probably because my visitors are mostly webmasters. As long as corporations keep IE the standard I don't think FF is going to make big with the general consumer.
And that is bad news from the web developers' perspective. I as a programmer already have to worry about an extra browser when being asked to make sure cross-browser compatibility is preserved by the code. Wondering what's next, a Yahoo browser?
1 out of every 5 web surfers use Firefox. THAT is big and growing while IE is shrinking. In Europe, 1 out of 2 use Firefox. THAT is bigger!
