Time To Generate Good Traffic Numbers and How?

I was curious how long it too for everyone to generate a good amount of unique visitors (100 per day) to your site?

If you are there, what are some of the ways you generated this traffic? Forum Posting? Commenting? Pay of the traffic?

    Thanks for the input! :D

Try to get to do link exchanges and then create 1cent ads to drive traffic to your site. Some of your visitors should go to your link exchanges links and hopefully you'll start getting traffic back from your link exchanges.

The speed depends on how hard you work on it.

    Try these:

    - Build original and useful content.
    - Start commenting on relevant blogs
    - Start commenting on relevant forums
    - Create accounts at social media sites like Twitter and Stumbleupon and promote there

This should get you on the way to 100 a day quickly...

There are just way too many different ways to Promote your Website,
    You could also try :

    - Promoting on Social Networking sites, by starting groups and also by joining others people group.
    - You can try building an Squido Lens
    - You can use Digg to promote your site
    - You can use forums big time, not only by posting many forums have advertising options like Banner Ads and Text Ads, that can work also.
    - You can try buying credits at different traffic exchangers
    - You can try posting Ads on classifieds
    - Making an e-book or writing an article and spreading it online really helps and a lot.

Those are just a few Ideas, hope it helps :)

Most important - have goot content, and keep adding to it.

Then get creative - maybe have a giveaway ;-)

What I did to build up my traffic was add content regularly a couple of pages every week at least and submit articles. SEO is really important and I do that a lot. Eventually after your sites and get up on to the search engines your traffic will climb, until then you just have to be patient and try everything little by little.

The fastest short term traffic you can get is to stumble your site. stumbleupon.com Do it in the early evening. You will have hundreds of people on your site for hours. If they like your site they will bookmark it and come back. It's great for a burst of heavy traffic!

Long term traffic, make some video ads and post them in every video site you can find. It's a steady stream of long term traffic.

I tried stumbleupon. Do you know if there is a way to traffic if the sites are coming from there? I just would like to know if my efforts are actually working.

I suggest you spend time on keyword research. Look for keyword that have high search numbers but have little SERPs results

If you have a blog you can use the cystats plugin to see where your traffic is coming from, if you have a website with cpanel, you can check your stats from within your cpanel for referrers to your site :)

Cystats is nice as it gives you the keywords typed in also to find your blog...I also put live assistance on my websites, you can find that in cpanel, it keeps great track of referrers.

I have found that forum posting and relevant blog commenting on a regular basis generates a lot of traffic, as well as the social bookmarking sites...and of course great planned out content on the site. I also post original articles on ezine articles as well as a few others, and squidoo...just keep doing a little of each every day.

Just remember this, aim for quality and not numbers.

Paid to click traffic, stumbleupon, digg and the like will either not convert or you will have a very low conversion rate.
Aim for relevant links on other sites and do some SEO.
