I was born and raised in NYC - and can not think of a better place to live. No matter what section of the city you are in, it is unique to itself. It is a great place to be during the holidys!! Nothing like it.
While I do think the city is beautiful, I don't think I would ever live there unless I struck it rich. However, I did like Newark, New Jersey which is right next door. Its more of my style (cheaper living and actual parking spots) and is about 30 minutes away from New York, City.
wow, here our TGI Fridays is dirt cheap. Must be where you were to get that high Their fried green beans are soooo goood I've went to NYC two years ago, and coincidentally while on a tour bus, my school burned down Lost a lot in that fire darn multimedia kids had to play with paint thinner and a lighter
TGI Fridays is amazing. They even sell their food in grocery stores now in boxes. It's awesome. Especially the quesadillas and breaded cheese sticks with marinara sauce. MMMM
I don't think it's dangerous at all in the main city. Maybe if you go to some places like the Bronx in the middle of the night you could put yourself in danger.
You want to see a really spectacular site? Fly into New York at night when the bridges are all lit up. It is so beautiful.
The next time I go there I'm going to walk on one of the major bridges at night. I bet that would be a spectacular site.
The next time I go there I'm going to have more money on me (especially cash). I was surprised at the number of stores and vendors who didn't accept credit or debit cards.
I'm not a big fan of the Big Apple, but yeah, for the holidays the city is better looking and more sparkling than ever I believe you even though I've never seen NY for Christmas...
Yeah it's a great city, a bit too busy and noisy for me though. So if you plan on living there get soundproof windows .
