    Hey guys I hav a little doubt..
    What does 100% copyscape verified article mean?
    I wrote a completely unique article on a random subject and verified it on copyscape.. In results I got few pages with similar content. When I visited those pages, I saw hardly 1-2 phrases matching their content, and these phrases r very very common. So if I m selling this article, can I claim that it is unique and copyscape verified?

    If you wrote it yourself it is unique. 100% unique just means you haven't rewritten some elses article.

    So can I say that its 100% unique and copyscape verified? Even after those 1-2 common phrases that exists on some other sites?

    If its a very common phrase, I don't think there is any problem with that as it will show up in the results.

    What I'm confused about is how does Google know who is the creator of a certain article. For example, if I write an entirely unique article, wouldn't the content be devalued by Google almost as soon as someone copies it or quotes it on their site?

    Google considers the first page that it indexes to hav unique content.

    Just a guess, but I think it is dependent on the first person to publish the post/get indexed.

    Example:
    A - Submits unique article
    B - Copies article later

    A = Better SE results

    Like I said, that is just a guess.

    I figured as much, probably best to submit to Digg or similar sites in order to get the article indexed as quickly as possible!
