Optigold is dead. Find another billing system which is what we did. We migrated all of our accounts to WHMCS. We no longer use Optigold. Optigold was the best billing software for hosts about 6-8 years ago. There are much better solutions out there now.

Shawn has promised a rewrite of optigold for years now. The only thing I remember was a screenshot and that was it. Nothing was actually produced.

The last comment I heard from Shawn in regards to optigold was along the lines of... I'm "obviously" busy with other projects.

no interest. in fact I didn't even find this thread in DP, someone placed a link in another forum!

I just found it funny that people were posting things in defense of Shawn when clearly Shawn himself does not care! Plus I just like to talk smack :p

    Just my imput.

I agree with all, I would be so frustrated if I paid for a product and no support was given.

It's such a shame how big DigitalPoint is and how little support we get for things.

    Its quite disgusting really.

You get someone who is obviously well off ignoring his customers and forums (Not so bad with the forums as you dont pay to use them) but you have people who try really hard and would do the best by their customers struggling to earn a fraction of that.

If anyone comes up with a good viable option to DP i would certainly be interested.

He seems quite, because the chances are that he is enjoying all the money here, from advertising.

iTrader is not related to post count, it just depends who leaves you iTrader feedback for transactions

Most likely he's off doing "other things"

he doesn't have time to post but he has stopped by a few times when the forum has really been DOA. One time last summer I think one of the blades on the server went down, he had to fix that an then most recently he was here to fix the MASSIVE DDos attack or whatever it was where some tool kept spamming the forum until it died and died and died some more.

I don't know why he doen't fix the -2 iT, they are obviously bogus.

he owns the forum, what praytel would he need to buy from anyone? Anything being bought & sold I'm sure he could do himself for cheap!

Let's give the guy credit for truly not giving a shit. :)

I thought about buying Optigold ISP...like back in 1998 when I ran a dial-up ISP. Back then I thought it was too expensive.

It's 2009. Time for an upgrade.

It is interesting to see that so many people are having issues here.

I am not a client or anything, JUST a forum member.

I mentioned something about this somewhere else.

    Not sign of Shawn.

Can someone give me a hand with the Info about the whole Ebay thing.. SO i can read up on it.
