    Hi all -

I'm still getting used to a lot here - but I've put up a site (actually 5 sites, but I'm referring to one in regard to this post) - and according to Adsense Reports it's had 18 page impressions - with 3 click-thru's ...but I thought I earned money when there's a click thru ...yet according to adsense - my account is still 0.00 ...am I not understanding this correctly?

    Thanks to all in advance.

    Johnnie

It sounds like google deemed them invalid clicks for some reason. Make sure you don't accidently click any of your own ads or ask any friends to do so because it will only be a matter of time before you get banned and there are no second chances.

    Hi,

    18 impressions and 3 click-thru's ! It is a huge CTR.

Some ads are public service ads and you do not get paid for them. The same for the ads for Google services.

Clicks not compliant with the TOS are not paid either. Are you aware that you are not allowed to click the ads on your own site ?

Are you sure? Or will that be pubic service ads? I thought accidental clicks by you as well ad PSAs wont be shown as a click. Something fishy ???

Hi guys - thanks for the quick response! (that's what's so great about this forum)

Okay - to answer your questions -

Clicking my own ads: Absolutely not folks ...I've been reading the forum here (trying to keep my mouth shut and observe - that seems to be the prevailing advice) ...and the one thing I made sure to do was keep my cursor away from those ads. In fact, I felt funny about simply checking the site for updates because I didn't want to skew the impressions. Further - that's the reason I didn't even put the site URL in this post ...I want real numbers and I've heard of good-natured people on the forum helping out with clicks and I just don't want to take any chances.

Accidental clicks? No way of knowing... but I don't think there was even a chance of it.

Public Service ads? Hmm...could be - I do remember seeing 'em before the regular ads kicked-in.

So as far as anything fishy - believe me... the last thing I want to do is start off on the wrong foot guys ...so my question here isn't just why it shows no payment - but also, "what can I do to avoid getting the Google Police after me?!! yikes!"

    Thanks again to all....

    JF

Hey guys - another quick question -

Is there a lag-time between click-thru's and when earning's show up? Could this be it?

    Thanx,

    JF

Johnnie, you have 18 impressions. Those 3 non-paying clicks are the last thing you should be preoccupied with. ;)
