    Hi,
It's always worth it mate :)
Even if you only get 50 uniques per day.. it won't let you get a lot users per day, but it's free and it helps anyway.. so why wouldn't you try it? :D

I prefer Yahoo as this is the easiest one, and it's strange...but people sign up faster when I add my yahoo code.. than google code (can be 'luck') but I think it has something to do with people thinking for google groups you need gmail...

I take it proxies are a short term thing?

Let's take proxytiger.com back.. it's 4 years old and still gets over 1000 uniques per day ;)

So now, it isn't a short term thing ;)
Ofcourse to be a second hidemyass.com & vtunnel.com you must do a lot things :)

There are alot of other ones, polysolve.com, Ctunnel.com, ninjacloak.com , Kproxy.com to name a few. But it seem most of the most popular ones have something do with the owner of Vtunnel. The guy is just lucky?

You know what else is funny I'm seeing this lame proxies comming out like unblockall.net and getting really popular, yet the freaking sites have no monetization plan. There losing money. Then there is this http://www.cantblock.me/ which just comes out nowhere also using Glype 1.0. but the guy forget to put adsense in a iframe, anyone here with some experience knows Glype 1.0 proxies your ads. If you roll over mouse over his adsense you might see. http://www.cantblock.me/browse.php?u=http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead%
Next there 1 banner of proxy page. If this was my site I would be losing money and proabbly get banned for click fraud. These guys coming out of just nowhere and making these proxies really popular. they dont know shit about proxies, and they'll probably have to sell them later on becuase there losing heeps of money on bandwidth, the guy from unblockall come to proxy.org and tries selling his 50K Alexa proxy for a BIN of $35,000! But yet says the site is not even monetized which I mentioned before. probably doesn't know what proxy traffic worth. Freaking unbelievable.

    Just a small rant. lolz

Whahaa you got a point mate.. it's true what you're telling :)
These guys just have money to pay proxy.org and a lot other sites for featured listing and don't do anything...

I mean.. the owner of unblockall had so much visitors, but never monetized it... how dumb can you be?

Yes probably. They have money to pay for a premium dedicated server and throw a few thousand dollars at it with Advertising to get really popular.
There just noobs anyways with too much money who stumbled into this niche, trying to make a cool proxy with no ads.

So, wait, you're saying people shouldn't pay for high spec servers and spend money on ads? I'm not sure what you have against webmasters who invest a lot of money into it, have no ads and provide a great proxy service to their visitors? If you have a problem with that then you deserve to lose out to them. I have no idea how you managed to find a problem with those guys, but in the end they are providing a better service than 90% of other proxy webmasters out there.

Unblockall.net is a different story, I wouldn't judge any proxy by alexa ratings, its been proven they can be manipulated or you can just have a surge of chinese/iran traffic.

If I could say I would think there run by very experienced marketers who have deep pockets. They probably have no idea what proxy traffic is worth or about the niche. They just stumbled into it. They come out of nowhere and launch this proxy site and get them really popular, and have nearly no ads or none on it. It annoys me and makes us look bad, the ones who are running our own proxies profitably. cheers.

Yep, Dollar is right... all users will run to those proxies without ads.. and so we will lose traffic...
If we now ALL would do a bit the same and make some 'rules' the proxy world would be better...

But ofcourse it's internet and we can't change it :(

I've just set up ProxyHost.org and I plan to review on all proxy hosting services. I'd appreciate it if you guys could submit your own hosts and rate others if you use their services. I hope to turn it into a helpful resource for all proxy webmasters.

@P2Host - I recommend you get rid of adsense on the proxy browsing pages immediately. It's against the Adsense terms and conditions because you don't own the content displayed alongside it.
