It must be because your sites are not "quality" and perhaps you are bad people. Just kidding , have you guys noticed people who say stuff like that don't have any new sites that rank well in google either?
you can't say a search engine sucks based on just one search string. To come to such conclusion you have to try many search strings and see if you don't get what you want. It's obvious what the starter of this thread wanted to achieve and I guess he/she has achieved it. I think people should just have read and not replied.
And where is MSN now? #3. Google will not be #1 forever, things change, and they may just change sooner than anyone thought. I'd like to see G get their act together, they do send me a lot of traffic, but in all honesty, the way they have been performing in the last 6 months, the term "sucks" seems to apply pretty well.
I agree that Googls sucks big time! Changing rules over and over again doesn't help us at all. One day it is links that are important, next day you get penalized for having links. Adding a new site to their index takes forever while other sites like MSN have it indexed within a week. Sandboxing sites is rediculous! Maybe they need to have it sandboxed because they don't know WTH to do with it... "Oh shit!. Another moron who wants his site in our index again!! This sucks! Let's put him in a sandbox until we decide what to do with it! Let's run it through our intro-algo and see if there are other sites out there that has the same content and if there is let's put it in the sandbox for now! oh see... it has the same style sheet as a lot of sites, must be a spam site! Oh, look at that! We've got a site that is in a bad neighborhood. Let's never index that SOB. He can go to MSN! But hey, they've got our Ads on it!!! Oh well, he can get hits from MSN and Jihaa and we'll get money anyway!" Well, Google sucks so bad that it isn't even funny! I do a search for my domain name and what do I find? 600 pages of spam sites using scraped content from my site but since they are optimized for Google they show up long before my site does!! So now what? Do we learn from spam sites or what???
Jaysus, shut up whinging will ya and work and making a content rich site, where people will link to you. It's not difficult to rank in Google providing that you get links, and don't break it's TOS.
I have 1 site indexed with just RSS feeds as a backlink. It's not difficult. If your having problems getting a domain name indexed in Google PM me the URL and I'll have a look.
Wow, that site is such a crappy attempt at a Maddox wannabe it's unbelievable. Grow up, get a life, and get an orignal idea and site design. Idiot.
It is very interesting. People are saying that Google sucks and then we have new search engines like oozm.com pops up with people power, where is the world going to? Why did yahoo come up with their own report that said that 50% of the people don't find what they are looking for through search engines? now how much of that 50% of the people uses google? Well its a good question and I hope someone can help me figure it out. Why does people freak out when someone talks bad about google?
Its weird, the power of branding Google as benevolent mega power, you get normal people who for the most part not really affiliated with Google, spend a lot of time an energy defending a company for free. I like Google an all, but they have enough resources to do their PR without me volunteering .
I agree, but it also depends on what way you critisize google. SEO:s tend to think that Googles quality depends on how good their SEO works for Google. Actually, Google have no interest at all in satisfieing their parasites that tries to move their path ahead for the top position. But I agree that there are much better search engines out there. People just don't have their names in their head.
Out my 30 or so websites, it seems to make no difference whether a site is content rich or not. If it is a retail site, google seems determined to elimiate it from its search results. If you are intersted in purchasing a product, you can forget the organic listings.
