    Hi Guys and Gals,

One for the techies out there.

I have something on my computer, which is making my internet browsers maximise the screen and flash all the time, it also seems to make the screen scroll left and right and up and down.

I have scanned pc with Norton and adaware thingy, and cant find anything.

Is there any way of clearing things from my pc? Before I flaten it and reinstall windows. I am not a pc techy person, so any advice will be appreciated at all on this.

At the moments I cant browse the internet on my pc, it also seems to freeze and not let me close the screen down.

How do you deep clean your pc???

    What OS?
    What browser?
    What "adware thingy"?

    Try AVG and Spybot.

I usually find it quicker to just reinstall Windows on a computer that has a virus.

Finding a virus on your PC is like finding out that your girlfriend has caught an STD. You can try and repair it, but it's better to start again with a clean install.

Fill a bathtub about three-quarters full with hot, soapy water. Drop PC into hot soapy water. Make claim on insurance. Persuade Insurance Assessor it was an accident. Buy new PC. :D

    Or wipe and reinstall.

It could be anything to be honest. Probably lots of anything... rootkits, trojans, everything. Only way to get rid for sure is to wipe the HD and reinstall Windows.

I don't recommend AVAST. It slows down my PC. I removed it from my computer. If you can, buy the Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 license. Also you can download Dr.Web CureIt utility at dr.web dot com. It's a nice scanner and moreover it's free. You can run it with any anti-virus software and update daily. I wouldn't surf Internet without anti-virus software installed on my PC. Too risky and a lot of troubles afterwards.Take care!
