I know how to get a paypal button but am dumbfounded when it comes to getting a simple paypal hyperlink?

I assume you are referring to selling something on your website? If so, I do not think they offer that any longer, I think now you have to do it by using a button.

 

When logged into your PayPal, click on the "Merchant Services" then go to the "Buy Now Buttons". After entered the payment details and clicked on "Create Button". Please click on the "Email" link so now you will see a hyperlink. I hope that's what you asked for?

 

Yeah I think he is talking about a hyperlink that takes you to the checkout page of paypal for your product

 

I think he ask for about button for selling something its better to check paypal help section it has many button types easily you can choose one of them ,, do you know about bluevoda site builder? http://www.bluevoda.com/ it is a free site builder that has a function for adding paypal buttons easily. you can copy those codes and add to your site.
