Will people really want to go off site to complete a purchase? I can't wait to read some stats on conversion. Furthermore, how will their rates compare to paypal and the other payment services.
People go off site when they make a paypal payment. EG: you have paypal on your site, person clicks to pay, they go to paypal site to finish the payment. Thus, gbuy will be no different there. Have to wait for google to make a complete disclosure on this gbuy. Looking now for additional information.
Great to see something going on with Google. If they pay my money in local currency with cheque or direct deposit, I will go with them
Hi all. Gbuy, google's version of something similar to paypal will be here on June-28. http://www.forbes.com/markets/equities/2006/06/09/google-0609markets09.html What do u think.
Not only that. It will be all over the globe and webmaster may get a comission for promoting the service. Another source of income.
as long as my adsense balance can go directly to my gBuy account I'll be happy, otherwise i won't really have a need to use it.
I have read some opinions that GBuy will only be available for US. Someone knows something official on this ?
Damn it, I hope this doesn't catch on. Keeping up to date with my paypal, adsense, email accounts is already too much for me. I hope I don't have to sign up for one of these =S
Yes it's true. I welcome anything that is a competitor to paypal. Hopefully they will have lower fees. A lot of people use paypal though, it's the standard for sending money online. The question is how many companies will start accepting gbuy. Guess the world will find out soon.
Do you think they go YAHoo It woudn't make sence. But perhaps there will be some features available for America only while it is in Beta.
I hope not for US only, we wait this feature of g for long time, because paypal don't support our country. If they do the same what is the diffirence?
I can almost guarantee u, if gbuy works like paypal, they will have atleast 30 million members sign up the first year. Thats 30% of the total paypal member base. Also, what they are doing is the members that accept payments by Gbuy, when someone does a search on google, it will mention it, (this merchant accepts gbuy) as a token of trust. Initially it will be free. No fees for the first few months. How bout that
