Awcguy seems to have edited his question, which I thought was a good one. As such, I shall ask it myself . . . Islam is, at its heart, a religion of peace, love and tolerance. However, today, it is seen by many in the West as a hatred-advocating religion of violence, intolerance and extremism. My question therefore is, when are muslims going to do something about the jackass extremists who have hijacked their religion and soaked it in blood? Islam has been kidnapped by psychotic, mass-murdering maniacs, whose actions are painting the religion in a grossly inaccurate light. If I were a muslim, I would be pretty damn pissed at all these morons indiscriminately butchering people in the name of my religion. The first thing I would want is for major muslim leaders to voice condemnation and take some kind of action. Why has such a thing not happened? Why hasn't there been any major protests in muslim countries against these fools? Or did I just miss it all?
Muhamad used a lot of violence. It will be next to impossible to convince all muslims "Islam is against violence" since their prophet often was involved in wars. And in wars killing people is an "honorable" thing and soldiers get rewarded for that. How do you plan to convince first the muslims that Muhammad preached "Peace and Love" and then the non muslims? I can easyli convince anybody for example that Jesus, Buda, Krishna are for peace and love, because no one of them was ever involved in wars. Sorry, but for as long as muslims read the Quran and copy from Muhammad, there will be a great danger of violence against those who live in a different way than the one prescribed in the quran. If I am wrong why is that that in every muslim country with muslim majority there are terrorism troubles? Don't understand me wrong, not every muslim is a terrorist or a bad guy. But no one can deny the facts that most of the terrorism in the world comes from muslim extremists or fanatics.
who is god ? where is he ? what is he ? ___________________ what is the reason for creating this world and human , pets , tree , shit ....etc ?
Why are muslims so hateful of non muslims? just to let you know I am an American living in a Muslim nation so Its not like I don't know what I am talking about
I have read all what you said - and if you are so frontally advocating for muslims can you explain something -- " All muslims are not terrorists ( I agree ) but Why all terrorists are Muslims " ???? -- this is something quoted in a Vancouver Daily News Paper.
Well, the hijab means a women covering those parts of her body that could attract a man towards her The whole take over of Mecca by the Prophet [P.B.U.H] was peacefull. Prophet's rules of war were, Not to harm the innocent icluding children and womean. Also before the start of any war the Prophet asked the people opposite to them to give up/ join islam or if they don't want to join Islam, give a specific tax and practice their religion The word Islam means Peace and Humanity. Yes, there are loads of verses in the Quran. No one is hated in Islam. Even Islam encourages to increase trade/talk/get familiar with all sects of people, alll kind of people. Again, I am not a scholor of Islam, just a student.
What are you talking about???????????? Heres a few terrorist organizations that are/were not Muslims..... IRA, SLA, November 7, FARC, FLNC, Tamil Tigers, Nazi Germany, M19 Stupid quote....that paper should fire the Editor....
Tamil Tigers, as the name suggests, are not a religious militant group. They are all Tamils - connected by the language they speak. Get your facts right.
Well most muslims are good guys and gurls. They don't do any terrorism here and there.Only a radical some of them. I can saw a small portion. Most of us live a normal life you know.Just ask the daily Muslim person.
I once shared a room with a guy who was studying Islam, and he read this quote to me. I think it went like this - "I made you in many different hues and colors so that you would learn to understand one another, not so that you would despise one another." Is that from the Quran?
That quote is just plain wrong. I don't know the context of how that quote was printed or published but I suspect that it wasn't a headline and you're simply paraphrasing somebody who is pretty biased and/or narrow-minded? contentedge and sem-advance are right in pointing out the non-muslim extremist groups and I'd like to add that terrorists aren't just religiously motivated but also can be political, nationalist, racist and just plain criminal. Even the actions of some democraticaly elected governments and sovereign states can be construed as terrorism, it's just matter of open-minded and clear objective perception, which is always a quality worth developing. Do get your brain into gear before engaging your mouth, please
