review my blog and let me know what do u think. Note: logo will be changed. here is my BLOG now suggest me what to do more?
I would suggest you get a more colorful header. You can create a new Front Page through wordpress and then have your recipes as a secondary page.
You can get a Page Template modified to fit your homepage as a static page, and add a widget on the sidebar with the recent posts, a page template can be modified as you want, and its very easy to activate/desactivate in your blog settings.
best thing would be to use some magazine template and customize a little bit...else u can use some modular CMS like Joomla and get a super webportal look...chk ma website in siggy, its on Joomla and completely portal look
chk these: http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2007/02/09/83-beautiful-wordpress-themes-you-probably-havent-seen/ and these: http://www.epicwebstrategies.com/11-free-magazine-style-wordpress-themes/
i would suggest google for WP templates as a first step. as a second step, you need to add more quality content. i use WP CC (Caffeinated Content) plugin for content...it works perfect. you can Google it for reviews.
1st thing I noticed... there are to many ads... it will look ugly anyways, doesn`t matter if it is a website or blog..
I agree, there are far too many ads. Other points are that there is no logo and the header isn't related to recipes. For magazine themes check out - http://www.revolutiontwo.com/
There is one cool WP theme that is set up like a modular CMS. It is not free, but once you have it you can modify it very easy without touching any code! It comes loaded with all the bell & whistles like adsense ready, gallery, magazine etc. You can change sidebar locations, bg colors, text box colors, post templates and much more. It comes with a default magazine style layout. It is a very flexible modular WP template system In short out of this template system you can create an unlimited amount of professional looking WP templates complete with your own footer links to spread around. I just got it 2 days ago and Iam messing arond with it on my demo server. But trust me! It is good. I normally prefer Joomla but this one made me give WP a second look
It Think every blog platform provides the facility to choose and edit templates. So you can edit the template according to your need. But they use CSS for designing template so you must have knowledge of it.
