Anybody experiencing general slow down in traffic ?

I'm experiencing a bit of slow down in traffic on some of my sites. I still rank high for some of my keywords. Seems like the number of people searching has gone down.

Is Thanksgiving the reason or is it recession that's causing the trouble ?

Anyone else facing the same problem ?

I don't think so, I just had one of my BEST weeks so far.
You might want to check your servers and especially the niches you are targeting.

 

Thanksgiving holiday in the USA, terrorist attacks in India, and a poor economy. Probably a combination of all depending on your niche.

 

Thanksgiving week is always a little slow for my businesses. It doesn't seem any slower than usual this year.

 

The ones that are majorly affected are Entertainment niche. - Movies, Reviews, these are the ones googles taking a ride.

Too early to conclude anything. I've previously experienced slow down during Christmas, but I don't remember what the trend was like last Thanksgiving.

Anybody in the entertainment niche facing similar problem ?

Some of my know sites got few increase, people might searching other few things at the moment, hope normal routine will come back soon.

 

Me too experience a 30 percent decrease in traffic in the past 3 days.

 

Now most of sites got the same problem. People tend to be in tenstion now because of economic recession.he..he..

 

I am also getting only 3-4 visitors on my sites.

 

I am having a significant decrease for the past two days. I think it is the thanksgiving.. Well, at least I hope so!

 

I noticed a sharp drop just by looking at my forums on 3 sites

Same for me here. My counters show me that Google brought me less traffic for the past few days.

 

Yeah man you are right. I think the first reason is major responsible for this fall in traffic.

 

I'm sure it's just lots of people focussing on other things at the moment rather than the internet.

Different niches will perform differently. Anyone with a website dedicated to Thanksgiving will probably see a big increase in traffic.

 

yeah i hit a small drop, but yeah those 3 do hit my nichies pretty hard.

I think my google traffic is down a bit, hmm might be a pr update soon as well.

 

I experience a slight reduction in traffic for two of my sites over the last four days but I don't know whether it is exactly due to the thanksgiving ceremony...

 

It can be a specific problem for some keywords only because some days before I had felt some problem but now it is not for me. For example - mobile phones keywords search specially for UK has increased double time due to Christmas. Like this all the search which is directly or indirectly related to holidays and Christmas has increased in UK and US.

 

Traffic and sales are down for me this week. I'm putting it down to the time of year.
