I dont want to talk with those who says my English is not good. Ofcourse itz not my mother-tongue! If some cracks asks me to learn perfect English, on the back I ask him to learn my native language atleast a few words! Perfect gramatical english is not needed for conversation. My mother-tongue is Tamil. If a non-tamil speaker speaks out a few words in Tamil even with lot of gramatical mistakes, I can get his point very easily and I always encourage him to speak more and more in Tamil. I never discourages him. So if someone says they will not hear if someone speaks bad english, then for sure I will laughed at them. Because atleast we people knows atleast how to speak in English badly, as an extra language. But the guy who laughed at us doesnt know a single word in an additional language other than English.

In some coutries like Japan, Thailand I've seen some English people visit the road side vendors and ask them "Oh god, you people don't speak English?"

Oh god, why the hell the street vendor has to learn English? As a visitor / resident in those coutries, you must try to learn their local langage dude!

Its always good to learn it in natural ways, you dont have to worry much about grammar, hang out with native speakers, skype, chatroom would do. Oh... and Disney classic cartoons..LoL because in the cartoon they speak english better than we do!

    Never give up!! (^o^)

just find Language exchange I helped out a few Taiwanese speak english. Although a little advice to you from a native speaker take it easy on them because honestly its really annoying explaining every single letter word phrase and pronunciation.

Take it easy on them other wise they will stop and also. English is not only a language I was very offended when non native speakers took no interest in my culture and just use my skills as a tool to make more money. Realize that them helping you to speak english is a very valuable gift they are giving you. So show a little respect

Yeah, it can get annoying when people are trying to explain something, but no-one understands. Or when people use txtspk or whatever.

I agree with some of that. Some people need to realise that English is spoken by a majority of the large companies - it is the language of business, politics, etc. Other langauages are not. (And don't accuse me of anything - I speak more than one langauge [German and French]).

I do agree that some visitors to a country should learn the language. Thats what annoys me about the influx of Polish to Britain. LEARN THE LANGUAGE!
