Anybody noticed the bigger wide-screen in Youtube too?

I just saw a change while I was watching a video in Youtube, they changed it into wide-screen now... awesome!

 

Oh wow, I wouldn't have found out since I haven't been there so long.

 

Woah nice 1, I wondered why youtube never did this from the start anyway, But its good they implemented it atleast.

I wonder wat all the old videos look like now, They cant be streched right?

Edit - they have black panels down the side, But still youtube looks more professional now imo

yes, it's about time. For google being the leader in innovation it sure took a long time to make the player couple of pixels wider.

Yeah, saw this some days ago. It's pretty nice.. Viewing trailers etc. in pure widescreen (not with black blocks on the top and bottom).
4:3 videos got blocks in the left and right side, but I prefer widescreen rather than oldish 4:3

Much much better. I'm guessing all the older vids will have the black bars either size to correct the aspect ratio?

But the videos are not corrected on upload. All "black bars" are made by the player, so even old videos uploaded in widescreen will be widescreen in the player

 

I like it, it is widescreen standart, can use my cool videos now.

Yes this went live a few days ago, glad you guys like it because we do too!

 

Google is one of my favorite video place.really wide screen option is cool.but yet this time i can't observe this.

I did notice it. But also Firefox hangs alot when am on youtube !!
