Just got a spam in my PMB which was sent to 5 members all having username starting with S. Actually all had SUL common in their username which means that spam was sent to all DP members in the memberlist using bot. Very scary! What sux is that the spam was sent to promote a brand new seo company site offering various different services. An seo company that utilizes spamming method of marketing their "own" seo site, what kind of service they have to offer their clients? More spam maybe? ** i'm not including the message or the site URL here on the thread but i think by now everyone got the spam.
This isn't the first time an 'SEO' company has done this on DP. DPdollar managed to send me spam PM twice I think they consider spamming webmaster forum a 'creative idea' !!
the account in question is banned already but that would not stop the spammers as the spam is generated by bots. i noticed that DP requires a captcha now for thread posting which might do some good
It's interesting that you know the same message was sent to 5 other users starting with s. How do you know that? Sounds like someone might have multiple accounts against the DP rules.
look at the original post and see whats in the quote. it shows the recipients. you can copy a message to 5 members at a time and the members the message is sent to will see whom it was sent to unless you do bcc read post#5 where i said the account is already banned
