Why do you say that? What do you mean insider knowledge? The publisher would have let him know they were releasing a product. Even the publishers themselves cant be certain a product will do well.
A JV is formed between the producer and the marketer. The Filteration of products that the marketer accepts is quite strict - the landing pages, branding, etc are all done perfectly. In addition there is a myriad of loyal (and kickass) affiliates waiting under the marketers belt. Essentially - You have a pretty much guarenteed good product.

I`m always implementing some new bum marketing methods now and trying to stay focused only on articles, which takes pretty much of my time.. How many articles have you submitted - to how many directories to get that amount of sales ? Cheers

I've tried to get on a few products before they are hitting it big on CB - I think it's a bit of a lottery though, if you hit one yeah you can do great (like you've done here) but many of the new products on CB never get much brand name traffic anyway as there's not a big launch.
