whois update time

    hello, i was wondering if i change my whois info, in my registrant CP, how long does it take to that new info starts to show on whois look up?

    It's almost instant... You might have to wait 1-10 minutes for it to refresh the database.

    i changed my info yesterday at GD and until today the info is still same old. Do i have to change some options in GD CP to changes to take effect?

    You probably didn't change it correctly. If you did it yesterday, it should be updated. Check again in the Control panel if you've changed all the contact details (Registrant, Admin, Billing, etc).

    Allow full 12 hrs for the whois db to propagate.

    Recently it took about 4 hours to be updated.

    How soon the change will show in WHOIS depends on what kind.

    If it's changing DNS, it'll take a few minutes. If it's the name or contact info,
    that's updated every 12AM and 12PM if it's especially a .com.

    no it is not for the DNS it is my info, it's been 2-3 days now and info on whois is still the same, i don't think that it is updating as fast you say, at lease not on godaddy.
