    Hi..

Placement of your outgoing links is very important on your website link pages .Outgoing links from a page is responsible for the PR leakage of that page.Don't put your out going links on your main web page, put it in some other page, where PR is low than the Home Page.

can Any one Ideas on out bound links effect on page rank ?

    Regards
    Sharma

The amount of outbound links on a page DO NOT effect that pages PR ranking. It effects the amount of "juice" for lack of a better term that each link passes. So for example if you have a PR4 site and it only links to 1 page, it is passing all of its juice to that page, however if you have 10 links the juice is split 10 ways.

Google treat every out bound link as a vote from your site. So if you link to lot of spam sites, it means that you are voting for those sites and that will give you a bad effect.
One way to deal with the problem is to add rel="nofollow" tag to yor out bound links when you are not sure about the quality of the site you are linking to.

if you look at the snippets of the google algorithm for page rank online, then you will see that outgoing links will affect page rank, i agree with the opening post, aswell as some bits in other posts.

each link pases on "juice" to the page it links to, however the amount of juice it passes on is also lost from your page, its all calculated on the amount of "juice" coming in, compared to the amount going out, you'll find alot of really well seo'd sites have no follows on certain pages due to this

i have started using no follows for links that goto the terms and conditions page, and any other page I wouldn't like to be ranked in the SERPS

I'm going against the flow because if having lots of outbound links caused leakage on your site then howcome some of the highest PR sites have the most outbound links? This site is a pretty good example as it has heaps of outbound links!

im not so sure on your logic here, as if i pick 2 high pr sites,
    myspace pr9
    facebook pr9

these two sites home page, don't have many outbound links at all infact if i remember rightly the facebook homepage, has none! apart from links that go deeper into their site.

i have, in the past, took a page with pr 2 an loads of outbound links, removed these links and on the next pr update it goes up, without any link building done by me! 3

Outbound links have an effect on inside conditions or Page Rank juice inside a positive site.
