Can somebody clear up something regarding PayPal...

I know they withhold money if you file a claim, but say if the guy as soon as he got my payment clicked withdraw would that money still be held up, if I made payment on Jun 9 and filed claim on June 11... Would they hold pending payments if there is such a large claim againts him...

What can I do I need quick answers, I cannot take this #%@# I want to kill that bastard...

I have never been so pissed off

Some please give me some advice?

This is horrible, I'm never dealing with anybody outside US again, I'm fucking serious it is like they operate in a fucking anarchy, this fucker will probably have no repurcussions for this shit...DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you escalate the claim, then it's only 10 days.

I'm not sure on their policies on that. I would make sense to stop a withdrawls until a claim is settled, but then again, common sense is not all that common.

Good luck, if paypal doesn't help maybe you can find someone on this forum that lives near the person to do some collecting for you.

Sorry man, not to criticize but $5000 through P/P? Perhaps Escrow.com for anything over $1000 next time, eh? Or a banking Letter of Credit.

Was this a tangible product or virtual? It could make a difference to P/P since they are so eBay orientated.
Some additional information may help members with a solution, and at the very least know what to watch for to protect ourselves.

I agree, they do suck and I use them as seldom as possible and only from known and respected sources.

I wish you good luck recouping your money.

    Peace,

Withdawals take around 3-4 business days to process. I am sure they didnt even deposit those $5000 into the guy's bank account. You should be fine.

From my experience, even if he withdrew the money, Paypal will charge his credit card/bank account and hold the money until the dispute is resolved.
