Promoting Proxy Sites

Hi all I just started a couple new proxy sites and am looking for some creative ideas that will get the name of the sites out there. Any ideas? Thanks

Some how advertise it to local schools, or advertise it on some website that students go, as most of the schools have popular websites block.

 

Well I use to own a big proxy site.
I just signed up to all of the proxy toplists (there's probably around 20 out there now) Then I bought cheap traffic to get my site listed on the toplists.

Also, link and email proxy.org and freeproxy.ru to get them to list you.

In addition, you can advertise on sites that teenagers go on etc. but considering it's summer and school is over/almost over in most places... i don't know how much student traffic you can get anymore.

I think myspace or site that is blocked by schools would be a good place to promote at

 

I had my best of luck listed in proxy.org

They bring in the most traffic.

Second will be proxy top sites. You can find a bunch of them - their links (images) usually at the bottom on other proxy sites.

I once advertised on MySpaceForum.com but without much luck. You can try doing MySpace Bulletin Advertising. It works for me as well.

 

Myspace will bring stupid amounts of traffic if you can notify your target audience. I'd suggest setting up a proxy site as a compliment to another of your own Myspace resource sites. It's cross-selling, and makes the best use of your traffic

 

For people still trying to promote their web proxy sites, I have just created a new top list. Register and you are on the list, since nobody is currently registered.

We get a lot traffic from some high traffic proxy site as proxyblind.org, freshproxy.org, xroxy etc...And we send a lot trafic out.
