I have one of each and they are both very different. Throughout the last year i have done many different jobs ranging from video video creating to music producing to making website. Both types of computers have there ups and downs. Which do you use and why? Mac Vs PC
Been using PC for all my life. Mac looks really good but it seems that in the sense of softwere it's just much easier to handle things with PC (like many softweres aren't compatible with Macs). Correct me if I'm wrong?
Mac by far...in my eyes, it's much easier to operate (because i'm accustomed to it), and i've never had a virus!!.. I also own an iPhone...that may be the reason
PC, because Macs are expensive and are no where near the level of things you can do. Plus PCs you can custom build and game on, Macs you cannot custom build.
I never use Mac before so PC is my choice. Although Mac look really nice, I don't want to spend extra money for their hardwares.
Personally I use a PC. But i want a mac ive almost went out and bought the new macs with aluminum casing but decided to hold off. I love the macs for what they can do and so on great for video and photo editing and so on. The only set back i do not like about a mac is that lots my programs do not work on there. For the internet business. So that is another reason why i decided to hold off
I use PC. To be Honest , I never had MAC . PC works just for me. I guess I would like to try MAC one day.
both of you guys have good ideas, but the only reason i don't like macs is because i cant back up my phone..
You can do video and photo editing with a PC and there will be no need for two computers. Macs are nothing more than a ripoff as they are super expensive. I have heard it compared to buying a car that can only run on certain roads. That's a mac... I like the PC much better.
I am using PC because MAC's Software is not available everywhere . its not much easy to handle as PC.
Technically, Mac's and PC's are the same thing, especially since Mac's change to a Unix based OS in 2000, and the Intel platform in 2006. But staying out of the technical realm, I personally use PC's
As long as you can afford it, and as long as it meets your physical requirements (more on that in a moment), a Mac is the best choice to make. Considering the multimedia work that you do, it's arguably true that the mac has an even wider selection of graphics applications than Windows. Like some of the other posters have already said, you also get a virus free environment. A lot of people regard the interface as being more polished, but that's a subjective call. Importantly, as one person mentioned, you can always run Windows on your Mac through virtualization, or through dual booting. That in itself is a superior advantage for the Mac. Get it's native features and get all the windows features along with it. Because of the legalities and hardware lock-ins, that relationship does not go both ways. A non-Apple computer is Windows only. As for the physical requirements; make sure that Apple has a configuration that suits you. The specifications are one thing, but physical size, egernomics, and weight are another. Apple has a one size-fits-all approach to computer making, and that sometimes leaves people out in the compromise. All and all, it's the better platform, and I would certainly suggest it for you.
