I haven't been making much from my anime website. It gets like over 18k uniques a month. I have some ads there, and I really don't want to put it in the content and scare away potential visitors. What should I do?
May i ask, - what is your url, so we can give some tips for implemetation - how much do you make a month currently? And dont worry, the visitors wont be scared, if they like to click the ad, they will do, if not, then not. Nothing to be scared about.
Usually it's a low paying niche. I think all you can do to increase on your earning is to work on the ctr.
Anime niche is quite hard to monetize, once youve been blacklisted by adsense, I know because just one of my sites gets over 30k uniques/month
I don't think AdSense the best choice for a Anime site. Specially if you have videos in your site. How about bidadvertiser or adbite ? Also try CPM sites.

Adsense is a VERY good choice for this niche, Especially if you can avoid the google review by the staff, But once they catch you, your domain will be blacklisted. And to the guy above who said about tribal fusions as a way of monetizing. You cant. You need to have 2000 uniques per day minimum, So this guy clearly cant choose that network...
Nice list bluearrow - also add CPX Interactive (used to use them a while back - not sure what they are up to these days). But I do agree with others who said that anime is a hard niche to monetize - there aren't too many high-paying advertisers there. I have a friend who tried running an anime site a few years ago, and he had a lot of trouble with it (ended up abandoning it altogether).
Douuu do not use adsense on ur anime site if you are offering anime download. If google finds out then who knows....And streaming is hell no...i run an anime site too. I use adbrite (not bad) and CPX interactive (Sucks). If u r lucky you can try "banner connect". Good luck.
