Photo Gallery Ads

Does anyone have any samples or ideas of the best way to publish ads on photo gallery pages for tourist and informational sites?

I am assuming there would need to be some comment text with each image to pick up some kind of content text?

Coppermine photo gallery does a good job and its free. You comment with text and keywords for each picture and then the ads have content. Draws a lot of attention of search engines too, if that's what you're looking for.

    Thank you for the response.

Has anyone had any luck serving up ads on gallery/photo pages? In particular results or strategies you would like to share?

On my main site I run a 728 Adsense below the picture and a 728 link above it. Pays very well, especially the 728 banner below. I have text explaining the context of the picture in alt that runs through the entire series (say, all pictures from my family vacation, it would be, "a picture of our family vacation in Peru" or some such) and below it, I have a caption explaining the specific pic, which is different for each pic. That's plenty of text and added with the original picture itself, more than meets Adsense's "content" rule.

Thank you for the information. Are you running any particular software to serve up the gallery/photos? It seems some of the automated/easy software solutions are limited in displaying and customization.

Nope. I created my own template page and add pics as I need. Granted, it's not as efficient as if you were using some content management systems, but what the hey, it's easy and flexible enough for me, a relative newbie. Plus, Google used to index the hell out of it. Basically if you searched for movie images on the net, chances are you'd get one of mine.
