Well I got the dreaded email...

    Hello,

While reviewing your account, we noticed that you are currently displaying Google ads in a manner that is not compliant with our policies. For instance, we found violations of AdSense policies on pages such as www my peugeot 308 com/index.php.

Publishers may not implement Google ads in a manner that disguises the ads in any way, for instance, by formatting neighboring content to look similar to the ads, or by making ads look like games or forum threads. Additionally, publishers may not attempt to associate specific images with the individual ads appearing on their sites. Such an implementation may confuse users who assume that the image is directly related to the advertiser's offerings.

Please make any necessary changes to your web pages in the next 3 business days. We also suggest that you take the time to review our program policies (https://www.google.com/adsense/policies) to ensure that all of your other pages are in compliance.

Once you update your site, we will automatically detect the changes and ad serving will not be affected. If you choose not to make the changes to your account within the next three days, your account will remain active but you will no longer be able to display ads on the site. Please note, however, that we may disable your account if further violations are found in the future.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    The Google AdSense Team

Below is a picture of the site, what do I need to do to change it??

adsense itself suggests you to blend in the ads to make it a part of your site but yet they dont like perfect blending. u got no option but to change the ad presentation

Well I got an email from Google and they said that they got a user complaint that the top bar advertisement looked like a menu.

    Here is the email.

    Hello XXXXXX,

    Thanks for your email.

We received a user complaint that the AdSense link unit found at the top of http://www.mypeugeot308.com/index.php resembled a menu. Therefore, we issued a warning to let you know that publishers are not permitted to disguise the ads in anyway.

Please let us know once appropriate changes have been made.

    Sincerely,

    Julie
    The Google AdSense Team

So I will have to take those ads out? I was having a good CTR ratio with that site, like 4-5%. This kinda sucks.

    YES!
or at least change the color or blending so it does not look so much like a menu.

I'm amazed that you got what looks like a human response.

Actually I am amazed also about that one...
It really looks like a human response and not a "ready made answer"

Oh, then I have to be careful in doing adsense not to blend the ad look like the menu so much.

Obviously a spammer trying to increase their post counts with nonsensical messages, I reported him.

As for Adsense, it should complement your site and menus, not be your menus. It's a pretty obvious case of abuse.

That's a shame. You did a great job integrating the ads into your site.

If that's the case, then just do as what they say. Not much choice you have over there but to comply.

Then where should I put my ads?
Content ads that misleads users are not allowed
Link ads that look like menus' are not allowed...
Whats the point of having 'blended' adsense ads then?
Actually, 468*15 link unit is the most common ad structure you find in any good blog just below the main menu..
