Today I have received a free VPS from layered tech. As my VPS details I have only received an IP address, user name and password. Now I want to set up a site in the VPS. I don't know how to do it. A lot of people have ordered free VPS from Layered Tech. Please someone post a step by step tutorial how I can install a control panel in my Free VPS and set up a site.
Are you looking to spend money on a control panel? You could install Lxadmin if you wanted, just visit the site for more details. Here's a demo of it http://demo.lxadmin.com:7778/login/ Or if you don't want a control panel, and want the simple way out, you could always just install Xampp, not recommended though
Have you read my post clearly? I asked for a step by step tutorial to install a control panel and setting up a site in FREE Layered Tech VPS. FREE Layered Tech VPS comes with only SSH access and using a different operating system and technology (glassfish technology). I don't know how to set up a site through SSH. Please someone help me.
I did read your post clearly. But you didn't give much detail other than 'Layered Tech', which doesn't say much. What's the OS then? If it's a Linux based distro (which is what 'root' access typically means) which you cannot find a working control panel for, why don't you just Google up a tutorial on how to set up a web server on Linux.
If I had found any working tutorial I might not have posted it in this forum. It will be better you don't try to increase your post count and someone please post "Step by Step tutorial How to install control Panel and set up a site in Free Layered Tech VPS which has only root access".
I'm not trying to increase my post count, I seem to be the only one who wants to help you, and you ignore the questions I'm asking you (like posting more details about your OS). Hope somebody else is willing to help you out!
