KUWAIT CITY (AFP) – The United States has asked four oil-rich Gulf states for close to 300 billion dollars to help it curb the global financial meltdown, Kuwait's daily Al-Seyassah reported Thursday.

Quoting "highly informed" sources, the daily said Washington has asked Saudi Arabia for 120 billion dollars, the United Arab Emirates for 70 billion dollars, Qatar for 60 billion dollars and was seeking 40 billion dollars from Kuwait.

When the Gulf states were asking Bush not to invade Iraq he didn't listen to anybody.

Now we all have to pay the price for Bush's failures.

War was a small cost.... $10 billion a month... for about 70 months now... thats close to $700 billion in direct costs... thats not much...

Its the monetary system that is corrupt, and has to be replaced with a better system --- Money backed by a basket of commodities, and a Full Reserve Banking System..... :)

I would like to add to the list of 'corrupt' systems, and it is NOT only in US's context
    1. THe leaders
    2. The money hungry CEOs and owners of large corporations
    3. The banking system officials
    4. THE GOVERNMENT
And the only thing it implies is that WE ALL HAVE ACTED CORRUPT by choosing corrupt people to lead us.

I agree with you to some extent...
