Photoshop is really good for me. You can download some cool fonts, some custom brushes, custom shapes and styles on the internet and you can make nice logos
I am not good at PS . Sometimes I use online web2.0 logo generators . there is plenty of generators, just google it . lol
I use Illustrator and Photoshop. For easier design process, you can try thelogocreator.com. I've seen the logo result using this software and it's not bad. Won't lose from the logo that was done in Photoshop.
Illustrator is for the actual logo. Photoshop is for effects. What you should do is draw out your logo on a piece of paper, scan it, then use the pen tool and go over your logo. Once you've done that, import it to Photoshop for special effects. ^ killer tutorial..

is the logo design studio 3.5 a freeware? I still prefer drawing it in paper then scan it. After that retouching it even with the use of GIMP or MS Paintbrush.
Always go with photoshop for any type of logo design. I also like to use cooltext.com for logo text to incorporate. There are many options to chose from.
Adobe Illustrator.. I don't even use any other graphics program when designing logos because AI does everything a professional logo needs.
Agreed. And it is industry standard, as well as being vector so it can be blown up as big as the side of a building if need be.
adobe illustrator is the best tool to create the logo, it's have printer friendly ( in vector form) you can animated it too in flash because both software supports vector working. degindia.org - look at the logo in the left side it's created in AI and animated in flash... thanks
Photoshop + Illustrator + good fonts for me I use PS a lot... started with illustrator lately for 3D shapes and vector stuff.
I have never tried drawing the logo and then scanning it, that seems interesting but I don't know how to do it...???? I am 110% with you on cooltext.com, they are super old school and even my uncle has been using them since way back, I love it.
